CKS Warta maintained their hold on first place in the Champions Division following a 5:1 drubbing of SAC Wisla last Friday. Xavier Gomez paced Warta with a pair of goals. Warta lead Vikings by one point in the title race with four games left in the campaign.
The sides battled to a goalless stalemate in the first half, but Warta wasted little time to stamp their authority on the match in the second frame. Adrian Ortiz opened the scoring with his sixth goal of the season, which sparked a scoring spree, during which Warta netted three times in three minutes.
Gomez knocked home a pair to make it 3:0, and Robby Gunderson put back a shot by Ortiz to put Warta up by four.
Wisla's Matthew Pytel spoiled Rodolfo Gonzalez's shutout bid to reduce the deficit to three. Jesus Perez replied for Warta to complete the scoring.
