Newly promoted Stare Byki FC made it three wins in a row on Sunday, dispatching Das Magic 3:1 at Oak Brook. The Byki, affected by injuries, could only field ten players. Their disciplined defensive stance held off Das Magic in the first half, despite Das Magic seeing far more of the ball.
The Byki struck twice within three minutes to open the second half. Joe Sauerman ran free in the box to slip one past Das Magic keeper Reed Sheehan. Dmytro Korinenko made it 2:0 in the 56th minute with a blast that deflected into the goal.
Das Magic pounced on a weak Byki clearance in the 67th minute to pull one back. But the Byki put the result beyond doubt 15 minutes from the end through Matt Tutich.
