Vikings AA won for the first time on Thursday, following two draws to open the season, when they beat up on CKS Warta 5:3 at Hawthorne. For Warta, they are without a point after three rounds.
It was a fairly even contest at the start, but Vikings looked more dangerous on quick breakaways and counterattacks, knocking home two in the first 17 minutes.
Warta clawed their way back via Eddie Saucedo's goal in the 39th minute, but the Vikings restored their two-goal advantage just before halftime, converting a set-piece opportunity.
Warta's task became more difficult when Tadeo Gonzalez was sent off ten minutes into the second half.
Vikings took full control when they knocked home a fourth in the 65th minute.
Luis Adame got Warta back to within 4:2 in the 77th minute, and Vikings put the three points in the bank with a clinching goal two minutes from the end.
